Hopefully, you’ve read the pinned post at the top of my home page, but if you haven’t, please do take time to scroll up and find out how you can win this blog candy AND help support a good cause at the same time:
The very first blog challenge I ever entered was The Graphics Fairy Brag Monday linky party so it’s appropriate that on my first blogiversary I’m back with a new entry – some cute little butterfly bottles:
The bottles, that I found on Ebay, are only about two inches high so these are quite tiny. I added a tiny bit of moss to the bottom of the jar, nestled in a little gold star, and sprinkled on some glitter. You can just see the star in this “hope” bottle.
The butterflies are all images from The Graphics Fairy and I resized them so that I could punch them out using my Martha Stewart punch. I printed out two and glued them back to back with a piece of clear thread in the centre.
The thread is attached to the side of the bottle giving the illusion that the butterflies are flying.
I topped the cork with a coordinating paper flower.
Finally, I chose appropriate words from my Chit-Chat stickers.
This is the first of my butterfly projects in support of Amy and Friends, the charity that supports children and families with Cockayne Syndrome, and I’m so pleased with how it turned out. I’m already planning a Christmassy version and maybe a larger version too. Thanks for buzzing by and don’t forget to enter my give away!
